May the peace and promises of God go with you into the New Year.
May the Alpha and Omega – your beginning, your ending, and your eternal home – guide and strengthen you. Amen.

We share in a Christmas Blessing:
of choirs of angels proclaiming Good News of peace and good will to all,
of shepherds rushing to share in this Good News,
a story of a child, born in a manger, who is Good News for all the earth.
Knowing that God is with us, we receive and share this Good News!

Advent marks the beginning of the church year for most churches in the Christian tradition. It begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day. This year, the fourth Sunday of Advent is also Christmas Eve.

Advent is a time to lean into the ways that our faith invites us to watch and wait, as we seek to discern the times, to trust that even when we have questions, God is with us; still then, God is working. Advent is a time when we wonder and wander and wait together, searching for clues of the work that God is doing in our midst.

In this season of short days and long nights, O God,
teach us the lessons of beginnings;
that waiting and wondering may be the starting place —
something right and just and different,
a new song, a deeper relationship, a fuller love.
God of all seasons grant us a sense of your timing this Advent. Amen.

God of peace, you are Creator and Creating no only of humankind, but of all that graces this planet and this universe. We fail our sisters and brothers around the world when our actions cause harm to our world. We humbly open our hearts, minds, and lives to what we can do to be your instruments of peace. Thank you for the assurance that you are with us in this journey. Renew our spirits, as we work to renew our common home. Amen.

Setting Sails at Summer Camp: Show Love, Have Courage, Be Faithful

All proceeds go directly to the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) for non-for-profit relief, and to demonstrate God’s love by blessing people around the world.

Breslau and area Mennonite Churches began participating in the sale by providing home baked strawberry pies. The first year, 1967, 100 pies were made. In 2023, plans are to sell 850 strawberry pies. The churches currently contributing to the pie project, both financially and with volunteers are Breslau, Bloomingdale, Listowel, and Pioneer Park Mennonite Churches.

Holy One, thank you for the wonder of Resurrection hope.
Inspire us to live full of your Easter love and to proclaim your Easter promise.

In this time before Easter, the season of Lent, we are asking and exploring: What is shaping you? What does it mean to be images of the God who created you? What does it mean to live in the way of Jesus? Whose call do we act on?
